It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
AltGirl is my way of sharing my voice & my story with the world, and along the way, I hope to motivate and empower other women to do the same. In their own way, of coruse.
Inspired by my favourite podcast - Archetypes, here are three words to describe me as a little girl: unbothered, energetic, and sensitive. And three words to describe the woman I am now: considered, insightful, and sensitive.

AltGirl, short for Alternative Girl, is a mini-blog in the form of a newsletter. It's made for women by women (technically a woman - me), and it's distributed once a month (typically on Friday, but life happens, so you never know!). It covers various topics like feminism, health, love, friendship, fashion, culture, nutrition, and literally everything else I have an opinion about. It's written in a cheeky and funny tone, kind of like conversing with your favorite aunt over wine. Every issue is uniquely curated, easy to read (under 5mins!), and utterly unfiltered. Along with the monthly newsletter, there is a blog section where you can read more rizz content, written by yours truly.
And now a little bit about me and my journey…
From Plovdiv
(1996-2016)
I consider myself a small-town girl, born and raised in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, who's been living abroad, travelling, working and exploring the world and all it has to offer. Often, I think about the girl I used to be back then and how different she is from the woman I’ve become today.
to Madrid
(2016-2020)
I lived in Madrid, Spain, while I studied at University Rey Juan Carlos. In May 2020, I graduated with a bachelor's in Business Administration and Management and began my career in Digital Marketing and my journey as a woman. (and boy, was that fun!)
and back home to Plovdiv
(2022-2024)
In the summer of 2022, I came back home to Plovdiv with my husband. After a lot of turbulence in our life, I thought that was it, 7 years abroad and we are finally putting down roots and bracing ourselves for life here. But it seems I was terribly wrong…
and Prague
(2020-2022)
I moved to Prague with my partner and worked there for a year and a half. I loved how I felt in the city because of the gothic, dark vibe it has. The pandemic and all the restrictions were awful, but my passion for writing came back to life, and so did AltGirl, so I am forever grateful.
To end in Amsterdam
(2024-Present)
After a career change from my husband’s side, we are now living in Amsterdam. I still have little to share about the city and my life here, because it has literally been a minute, but I am excited for everything it has to offer and to see what part of me would impact the most.
All the way to Chicago
(2022-2022)
From Prague, we moved to live and work in Chicago for a while. To this day, it is my favorite place in the world. That period was also one of the most defining times of my life, and I learned so much about myself and the person I want to be.
