3 Types of Bags Every Woman Needs in Her Life

I might not have a perfect life, but I can always buy the perfect bag! At least, that's what I tell myself in times of great anxiety, stress, and overthinking...

I've always been a bag lover. I do like fashion in general, you know clothes, jewellery, shoes, and everything, but my true passion has always been bags. For some reason, I find it fascinating when you encounter the perfect purse, that matches not only your favourite shoes, but your mood, and dare I say - your personality.

In the past seven years, I've lived in four countries, and constantly moving around forced me to shrink my bag collection to a minimum. Initially, I was quite upset, as I had to cast more than half of my babies and send them to my childhood home, where I got to see them only a couple of weeks per year at best when I was visiting my parents. My sister, on the other hand, enjoyed that quite a lot, as she seized almost everything I'd left behind, just like a creditor who seized the assets of a long-due debtor on the verge of bankruptcy.

But... this story is not a sad one in fact, it has a silver lining! As this happened, I realized something quite fascinating... to have the perfect bag collection, you don't need quantity, you need to be smart.

I got to think about it and realized that I could divide the bag I mostly use into three main categories. Let me explain:

Number #1: The Traveler

The first I named "The Traveler". That would be a huge bag/purse, most often used for travelling or work so that I can fit my laptop inside. Something like the Louis Vuitton's NV bag, but only slightly cheaper, because I am still in my mid-twenties, and paying $2,5K for a bag might not be the best idea for my finances.

"The Traveler" is perfect for the office, to bring on a trip or even to a night out, if you have tons of stuff you need to bring like tampons, pads, makeup, a book, extra pair of panties, etc.

Currently, I have with me only two (okay, being completely honest, maybe it's three) travel-size bags, which I change based on my outfit, mood, and, most often than not, the weather/season.

Number #2: Light-Life

The second most used bag in my life is what I like to call "Light-Life". It's basically the mini version of a bag that you can put across your body and go out to enjoy the day/evening without even realizing you are carrying a purse.

The sad thing about this bag is that it fits no more than your phone (hopefully), keys, and credit cards. For me, the perfect version of this bag is Furla's Metropolis Mini Crossbody Bag, which I got in what is called hyper blue.

That's my all-time favourite, and I guarantee it can be your best friend for evening dinners and parties. Because who wants to worry about where they left their bag before they down another shot of tequila, am I right?

Number #3: True Identity

Last but not least, it's your identity bag. It's kind of like the perfect jeans for your body shape, but bag edition. I believe every person has their perfect match, and that would vary based on your personality, style choices and so much more. (is it me, or does it sounds like I am selling you a Tinder subscription?)

Now, I cannot tell you how to find your True Identity bag, but I am sure you will recognise it if you see it. It's that kind of bag that you don't even think about. Like your favourite sweater, which you will wear for the perfect first date, or the dress you always keep in case you don't know what to put on because you know it will fit you perfectly.

For me, the True Identity bag changes every couple of years, and I believe that's a normal evolutionary process as my personality changes and grows as well, at least, that's what I like to think.
